The u.trust Cloud offers companies a way to easily and flexibly define data worth protecting, enact rules for encryption, identify users who can access it, and manage these access rights dynamically and centrally. A cloud-based admin console distributes rules and keys (contained in a personalized profile) to users’ endpoints, which are consumed and applied by apps (“clients”) on the endpoints. These clients decrypt and encrypt the files that the users work with according to the defined rules.
No. However, all new features will be made available in the so-called unified client. If a customer is interested in using any of the new features, he will have to install the new version of the client. When configuring/installing the Windows client, please note: Select the “Customized” option and the “Cloud Connector” to use with the Cloud Admin.

Password-reset is handled via the self-service system. A link is sent to the user’s registered email address allowing him to set a new password.

Yes. Both administrations can be operated in parallel and even manage the same users and groups. However, LAN Crypt clients can only be connected to a single administration backend at a time.
Yes. u.trust LAN Crypt Cloud can import user and group information from Azure AD.
All security related data such a keys are stored in dedicated secret and encryption management systems. Current implementation uses HashiCorp Vault to store encryption keys within a physical storage.
